Sweater Weather Treats

Fall is a magical time of year, filled with cozy sweaters, bonfires, pumpkin patches, and warm drinks.  We've been doing some digging to find you the BEST fall-inspired treats.  Do yourself a favor, and check these out pronto!

Campfire Mocha @ Woodgrain Bagels

We had such an amazing experience at Woodgrain Bagels with this fun fall drink!  This is a new(er) Boulder business which is located on Arapahoe and Folsom, right next to Yellowbelly. Aside from their amazing breakfast and brunch menus, their coffee is absolutely to die for.  We were particularly interested in the Campfire Mocha, which, as you can see has a beautiful presentation and is equally delicious.  It's not too sweet and has the perfect blend of mocha and espresso.  Just watching the barista-- in our case, the GM Cole-- make this drink is a sight to behold.  From the adorable leaf design to the graham and chocolate rimmed mug and individually toasted marshmallow, it was almost too cute to drink.  We can't wait to go back for breakfast and, of course, more coffee!

Tableside Smore's @ River and Woods

One of the best desserts of all time: s’mores. What’s even better? Being able to enjoy them tableside after a delicious meal. We had way too much fun roasting our own marshmallows in this cozy backyard-esque setting. It’s not your average campire s’mores either: vanilla bean marshmallows, Fortuna chocolate, and house-made cinnamon graham crackers. They bring a little pot with a gas flame and all the fixin's and the fun begins! Be sure to get one of their craft cocktails while you’re there (they even have some on draft that are oh-so delicious). There are many reasons to go to River and Woods, and the tabletop s’mores is most definitely one of them.

Espresso Martini @ Aperitivo

Aperitivo is a relatively new place in Gunbarrel with an adorable cafe/wine bar vibe. There’s even a baby grand piano for live music appearances. We checked out this spot for their Espresso Martinis and we were not disappointed. If you are a coffee lover, just stop reading this and go now! The cocktail was made with love as evidenced by both the bartender and owner of the bar stopping by our table to get our feedback. Our only regret is that we didn’t come hungry because the menu looked absolutely delicious. Keep an eye on Aperitivo - they are coming out with all kinds of fun things like “PJ brunches” where you go in your pajamas and get a free mimosas or Bloody Mary. For now, we’ll keep going back for those delightful Espresso Martinis.
