Looking for a SUBstantial Meal?
It's well known that Boulder is a foodie town, and we'd argue that some of Boulder's finest foods come in the form of sandwiches. With so many delectable sandwich shops to choose from, we narrowed down our top 3 choices. Grab one on your lunch break or for that Flatirons hike!
Snarf's
The first Snarf's was started here in Boulder in 1996 and over the past 20 years, they have most definitely perfected the toasted sub! Snarfs uses fresh meats and cheeses, homemade bread (gluten free options, too!) with loads of available toppings/sauces. They also have a special blend of spicy giardiniera mix if you want a little kick! There are three locations in Boulder, one in Gunbarrel, and one in Longmont. We highly recommend the prime rib sandwich, but their rotating specialty sandwich is always a solid choice. Snarf's is definitely a Boulder staple so be sure to stop by if you’re in the area!
Lindsay's Deli
Lindsay’s Deli is among the best delis in Boulder. They have a great sandwich, salad, and soup selection (they’ll even offer soup samples if you can’t decide between them!) One if our favorites is the Ferris Brieller, which has turkey, Brie, apple, pesto jam, and arugula on ciabatta and toasted to perfection. Another favorite of ours is the That’s What She Said, which has an amazing combination of turkey, bacon, apples, onion and cheeses-- YUM. Honestly though, you can try any soup or sandwich on the menu and it’s sure to be delicious. Inside the store, they also have a Haagen Daz ice cream counter, and they'll often be giving out free samples at the storefront. Head over for the free samples and stay for a sandwich & soup, you won't be disappointed!

Organic Sandwich Company
As the name implies, Organic Sandwich Company uses all local, organic ingredients. The best part aside from the fresh ingredients, is the pretzel bread! We tried turkey and brie, turkey and bacon jam, and the spicy veggie sandwich. We loved all of the sandwiches but our favorite would have to be the turkey and bacon jam. I mean, come on, How can you beat bacon jam? It was sweet and savory and the perfect addition to any sandwich. The spicy veggie sandwich was delicious as well. The heaps of guac and homemade spicy Giardinara combined for the perfect flavor. We loved that a veggie sandwich could be so hearty.
