Blo Boulder

Have you guys heard of Blo in Boulder?! We had the pleasure of checking out this new blow out and makeup bar, and had SUCH a fantastic experience.

First of all, the set up is modern and chic, with comfy white chairs and top notch products.  They use Unite hair products, which are all PETA certified and mostly vegan (though a few products do include honey and crushed pearl).  Their makeup bar is composed of Glo products which is a Denver based company, and of course we were excited about that!  

Blo offers a variety of different styles for blowouts and makeup, all pictured in their style menus.  This was super helpful in determining which style we wanted to go with!  Morgan went with the "Red Carpet" and Celia chose the "Pillow Talk."  Other options included: High Society, Go Fish, Holly Would, Executive Sweet, and Hunt Club. We had such a hard time deciding but ultimately went with our beauticians recommendations. 

Our lovely beauticians, Kadie and Jeanette, washed, dried, and styled our hair while we relaxed, which is definitely one of the main perks to getting a blow out (aside from the fabulous looking hair of course!) We felt like celebrities just sitting back and letting Katie and Jeanette doll us up. Definitely something we could get used to!

Once our blowouts were finished, we had photo-ready hair for the rest of the day.  It was so nice to not have to wash, dry and style our own hair! The products they used, particularly the Unite texture spray, helped hold the style even into the next day.  This literally never happens when we do our own hair, so we loved that aspect.

Be sure to check out Blo for your next big event or just to prepare for a night out!  They also allow you to rent out the full space to host your own Blo Party. We think it’d be PERFECT for bridal parties on the big day! They do allow BYOB but only for parties who’ve rented out the entire space.
