We had a wonderful girl’s staycation in Denver at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station. Whether it was lounging in the room with floor to ceiling city views, enjoying the many amenities, or dining at Woodie Fisher, there was plenty to do! The hotel is in a great location too, so you have easy access to all downtown has to offer.

Hotel Amenities

There are no shortage of amenities at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station. We started our evening by enjoying a glass of champagne on their rooftop patio deck. They also have a 54 foot heated indoor pool and a gym for those looking to be a little more active. For breakfast, we enjoyed an assortment of items from the Garden Lane Canteen. They offer everything from waffles and omelettes to a continental breakfast buffet. We spent a lot of time relaxing in our room with amazing floor to ceiling views of the city. The rooms are dog friendly, so we are definitely bringing our doggos next time! Last but not least, location location location. The Hilton Garden Inn is located blocks from Denver Union Station, the Rockies Stadium, and everything else downtown has to offer. It really can’t be beat!

Woodie Fisher

Woodie Fisher is attached to the hotel lobby — you don’t even have to walk outside! They recently made Yelp’s Top 100 Restaurants in the US for 2022 and it’s easy to see why. Everything we tried on their new spring dinner menu was delicious. Highlights included: the House Made Burrata, the Lobster Casarecce, the Pan Roasted Halibut, and the Coffee Cake with Espresso Ice Cream. They also have a fabulous cocktail and mocktail menu! One of our favorite things about the restaurant is the atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or dinner with the girls. We’ve also dined in for brunch in the past and really enjoyed the live music, Woodie Fisher burger, and the Bloody Mary. Upcoming Events

There are tons of fun events going on this summer at Hilton Garden Inn and Woodie Fisher! Pups on the Patio is happening on June 30th and July 21st, featuring a Dog Treat Food Truck and a photo booth for you and your pup(s). If you’re searching for a more active event, they also host donation-based Stretch & Sip Yoga every Saturday at 9 AM on their rooftop patio. After class, enjoy a complimentary mimosa or mocktail with a purchase of an entree at Woodie Fisher. If learning something new is more your thing, check out their Sip & Script class on July 19th. The cost of the class includes an hour and a half of instruction, a beginner’s calligraphy kit and other materials to practice your penmanship! Just think about all of the Christmas card recipients you could impress with your new skills.

All in all we had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, including our dinner at Woodie Fisher! The location is perfect for a night out in Denver or exploring the city during the day. You really can’t beat the mountain views to the west and city views from literally every other direction! We highly recommend it for out-of-towners and even locals who may not live in central Downtown (helloooo staycation).
