We had the perfect girls weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch at Beaver Creek.  We never wanted to leave! For the Spring season, they’re running some pretty amazing specials.  The rooms are discounted rates (starting at $219 per night) and they have 50% off all spa services.  It would also be a great place to celebrate Mother’s Day with their special Mother’s Day brunch at the restaurant WYLD within the resort.  We highly recommend taking advantage of these Spring-time deals while you can!  Deals run through June 13.

Our Room

We started out with an in-room mimosa bar, which we enjoyed while watching the Kentucky Derby.  The presentation was of course, pristine, with juice options and fresh fruit.  We had a suite, which was actually larger than our own apartments!  The room had a full kitchen, living room, fireplace, and the most amazing bathroom we’ve ever seen. The resort is also dog friendly, with room service options for dog food (how cute is that!?).

Dining

Buffalos is a traditional gastropub with hearty fare, craft cocktails and beer. The interior feels like a cozy mountain lodge, with a stone bar and rustic wood walls. We loved that there was something for everyone, whether you are trying to eat healthily or are just craving a big juicy burger. They had everything from bison burgers to roasted cauliflower (two of our favorite dishes). We also sampled cocktails from WYLD (the fine dining restaurant in the resort) and their cocktails were creative and refreshing. We almost felt like we should be sipping on them poolside!

Spa

The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch Spa is a world-class 21,000 sq ft sanctuary. We enjoyed deep tissue massages with scented oils, but they have a variety of other services like facials and mani/pedis.  We loved the Ladies Lounge area to relax in before and after the massage, with hot tea and snacks (and complimentary champagne!).  The spa area also includes a steam room, sauna, and access to the Grotto, which is a rock enclosed hot tub.  They had top of the line products and areas for showering/getting ready after your spa treatment. It is a true mountain oasis!

This was our first visit to Bachelor Gulch, but it certainly won’t be our last. Until next time!
